Interestingly, you cannot just go to your corner hardware shop and buy a consumer grade chainsaw meant for hacking down trees. There are tools made especially for this craft. I am endorsed by ECHO Chainsaws and I love them, but it's not just the saw, it's also what is called a "carving bar" that is an essential part of the system and needs to be purchased separately from specialty suppliers. Without it, the saw will continually 'kick back', which is something you definitely do not want to experience.
